UNDER $1600 Homage diver watch MIDO Ocean Star Tribute

The Mido Ocean Star Tribute collection pays tribute to the Ocean Star collection. This range of watches is designed as a true homage to some of the Mido diving models of the 1960s.

The case measures at 40.5mm in diameter, 13.4mm in thickness and 47mm lug to lug. It is also highly polished and has a domed sapphire crystal case which is strong and shock-resistant and lets the matte textures of the dial and aluminium bezel stand out, giving a greater contrast to the Ocean Star signature starfish on the case back. The printed markers, hands and indices are in white so that it contrasts against the dial and keep the timing legible.

It is fitted with the calibre 80 automatic movement which ticks at 21,600vph, allowing it to have a power reserve up to 80 hours. It is also water-resistant up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m/656 ft) and features a variety of straps from straps with contrasting white stitching into the cowhide leather backing available in green and blue with a pin buckle or stainless-steel bracelet with a folding clasp with diving extension.
